Getting access to a Vietnamese IP address is not as simple as getting a US IP or UK IP for the simple fact that fewer VPN/proxy providers have servers located in Viet Nam. Keep reading to find out how to get one.
What is a Vietnamese IP address?
A Vietnamese IP address is assigned to an ISP or hosting provider from Vietnam. The most common Vietnam IPs have the following format:
- 184.108.40.206 to 220.127.116.11
- 18.104.22.168 to 22.214.171.124
- 126.96.36.199 to 188.8.131.52
- 184.108.40.206 to 220.127.116.11
- 18.104.22.168 to 22.214.171.124
2 Ways to get a Vietnamese IP address
1. Use a VPN service
Using VPN services is the option that I recommend for getting Vietnamese IP addresses. Especially if you need it for streaming unblocking restricted websites. Plus, the Viet Nam VPN is more secure than proxies.
As mentioned above there are not many providers that offer access to servers located in Vietnam. Here are the ones that I found and the locations of the servers:
- PureVPN – Hanoi (2 servers)
- NordVPN – Hanoi (1 server)
- HideMyAss VPN – Ho Chi Minh City (1 Viet Nam VPN server)
- ibVPN – Saigon (1 server)
2. Use Web Proxies
Web proxies are a free alternative to commercial VPNs. They are very easy to use, but it is not suitable for online streaming as they are usually too slow and unreliable.
To use such a web proxy simply visit the proxy server site, type in the desired URL and press the Go or Submit button. Thus, the site is loaded from the IP of the Vietnamese proxy, not from your IP address.
One such a web proxy with a Vietnamese IP address is Teleport. If you know more feel free to share them in the comments below.
Before using web proxies make sure you read: Risks of using a proxy server site.
To conclude there are options to get access to a Vietnamese IP address. Not many, but they exist. My two cents are to go for a VPN service especially if you are interested in streaming or downloading, but you may also try the web proxy listed above.
