That means that when someone uses Relakks.com their internet traffic originates from Sweden – and there is no (easy) way to track that person’s connection back to the originating country or ISP. The VPN re-routes all of the client’s traffic through Sweden, effectively ‘hiding’ your internet connection behind a VPN IP address.

How to use it

1. Go to Relakks.com site
2. Sign out for a new account
3. In order to activate your account, you have to purchase one of the two subscriptions: monthly and yearly.
   • The monthly option runs 5 EUR, (about $6.33 USD)
   • The yearly option is 45 EUR, (about $57.04 USD)
4. Set up your Internet connection to use VPN servers (take a look below to see how it is done)
5. Start browsing with Swedish IP address using any browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, etc.)

Installation instructions for Windows XP and Windows Vista

1. Click Start menu and then Connect To.
2. Click on “Set up a connection or network”.
3. Choose “Connect to a workplace” and then click Next.
4. Choose “Use my Internet connection (VPN)”.
5. Type “pptp.relakks.com” in the “Internet address” field.
6. Type “Relakks” in the “Destination name” field.
7. Check the alternative “Allow other people to use this connection” if you want your service to be available for any user using this computer. Click Next.
8. Fill in your username and password. NOTE! Leave the “Domain” field empty.
9. Click Connect to finish the installation and to test your connection.
10. You will no get a notification saying “You are connected”. Click Close. You are now connected to the service.
11. You will see a dialogue box saying “Select a location for the ‘Relakks’ network”. Choose “Public location” for highest security settings. Then click Close.

Relakks alternatives

If you are not happy with Relakks you should know that there are many VPN services that offer access to Swedish IP addresses. The ones that I recommend are HideMyAss, ibVPN, PureVPN, NordVPN.

Here are the steps you could follow. This is not going to take you 5 minutes, maybe 1 week or 1 month, but it’s a working solution.

1. Create a PayPal account

Go to PayPal.com and create an account. Choose the Personal account and fill in the required info. My advice is to use an email address that you plan to use for a longer period of time. After your account is ready to proceed to the next step.

This is the most difficult step, but with a little bit of effort, you should be able to do it. The idea is that you need money to pay for the service and you have to work for them.

There are plenty of forums that offer simple online jobs that can be performed by (almost) anyone. Go, for example, on DigitalPoint forums, to the Services section, and browse for threads with the subjects containing WTH (Want To Hire) string. If you find something interesting that you think you could do, create an account, send a message to the job poster and … start working.

You should be able to easily do $10-20/month that would be enough to proceed to the next step.

3. Find a VPN service that accepts PayPal
