    hi,

i am the writer of this piece of software and i like your article but there is one thing that i have to say.

the section you wrote “How is IP Changer useful?” is not actually how the program is designed to be used. it only changes your LAN ip address, this is useful when you need to change from your home network (eg 172.168.0.0 network with manual ip addressing) to your work network (automatically set with DHCP) and then you have the ability to save up to 4 configs.

also this program has the ability to run with command line args. for example.
ipchange.exe -p 1 <changes to preset number one with the last used adapter as stated in the settings.ini)

please keep up the effort to give great reviews
    cheers

oops and i forgot to say its also useful when you have a new device added to a network and the default setting on the device is a manual IP on a completely different network address

    Hi,
When a single logical IP network is in use, this computer needs to use more than one IP address to communicate on that network. When multiple logical IP networks are in use, this computer needs a different IP address to communicate with each of the different logical IP networks.

@Omoba – you cant change your external ip address (the one you see with thinks like whatsmyip.com) with my program. you need another one and i dont write software like that. this program is designed to save you time in changing your ip address in your local network that is all. it wont touch anything to do with routing of NAT. good day. n00b u should RTFM!

Sorry Guys i need your help
I used IP changer once (I admit i am not an IT expert) and now i can’t connect to my router anymore. The connection is excellent though, but it seems that can’t surf the web. There’s somehing like a firewall that blocks my access (but i checked and my firewall is off). Any suggestion?Thank you much
